Pregnancy: 30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Eek, 30 week appointment was at 4 this afternoon and... drum roll please... + 4 from last appointment so +16 total

Maternity clothes? I was given a bit by some sweet friends and family members, but sadly I'm too short to wear any of them so far! haha Mainly just my clothes, the more fitted the better, other loose fitting clothes make me look like a blob :)

Stretch marks?  Not that I've seen so far! PRAISE THE LORD! STAY AWAY!

Sleep: So I got a body pillow this week AND I LOVE IT!!! mMm sweet, sweet sleep

Best moment this week: GETTING THE KEYS TO OUR HOUSE!!! WE ARE MOVING THIS WEEKEND AND I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!

Miss Anything? hahaha well, we are packing for the move this weekend and I had to organize all of my old feminine products, "Man, I miss my period..." #Things pregnant women NEVER say

Movement:Yes indeed!

Food cravings: No, still nothing odd

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Ha... thinking about moving and not having our house that we flipped sold :( Yep, it's been on the market only 3 short weeks, but I'm getting nervous.  I've got to remind myself DAILY to surrender that to the Lord.

Have you started to show yet: Yes?

Gender: Brooke Grayson

Labor Signs: No and they better stay away for a while, we toured the hospital and I'm praying for 1 specific room, sooooo hopefully we will time the labor ideally to get that one room :)

Belly Button in or out?  Still in, but getting much flatter

Wedding rings on or off? On, but getting tighter!

Happy or Moody most of the time: Stressed ... work (not knowing maternity leave yet), flipping a house, moving, renting out our current house, hubby in his last semester of grad school, and having a child ... I meannnnnnnn.  God is good and I will choose to surrender all of my anxiety to him! (Yep, keeping this one here)

Size of Baby:  Baby Center says ... "Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage)"

Looking forward to: The first NCSU football game this Friday night and MOVING TO OUR NEW HOUSE THIS WEEKEND... :)

12. NCSU Football starts AUGUST 31st
13. My new commute to work will be 57 minutes each way (as opposed to 44 minutes each way)
14. I still don't know my companies maternity leave policy
15. I am the leader for k-5 praise and worship for our church and we're splitting the kids into 4 large groups/services as opposed to the current 2 groups the 2nd week of September and we have no new volunteers to take over leading.

Prayers are greatly appreciated! haha I know God is good and I am sooooooooooo very blessed!  Here's a song that I absolutely adore that we do at Zumba ... the words are so good! Yes, I sing, and dance, and shake my baby belly...

Best moment this week: Having my sweet hubby introduce me and Brooke to people we met at a wedding this week "Hey (insert name here)!  I know you've met my lovely wife, Kim, but have you met Miss Brooke?  (pointing/rubbing to my belly) What a precious proud daddy!

Miss Anything? My waist... haha not that I had a super slim one before, it's just really tough to navigate in small spaces, i.e. Charleston, SC parking decks... It was pretty difficult to get out of the car when you were jam jelly roll packed next to the one beside you!

Movement: Ohhhhh yes! Wiggle worm!

Food cravings: No, I hate food, it makes me fat :( haha I keep reminding myself... once you start nursing it SHOULD come off!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not at all, praise God!

Pregnancy: 28 Weeks

How far along? 28 weeks and 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: +12 lbs ...I don't weight myself at home, I just wait for the nurses to tell me the bad news :)

Maternity clothes? Some, mainly wearing my stretchier clothes still

Best moment this week: Hearing a great report from our realtor on the house we're flipping! We have had one showing and they are coming back today to take a 2nd look! Prayers appreciated!

Miss Anything? Plopping down on my stomach on the bed/couch, I've gotta be more careful nowadays :)

Movement:Yes, but still very gentle.  I'm sooooo thankful I haven't had any harsh jabs in the ribs like others have felt.

Food cravings: Nope, but I've been really good at eating fruits and veggies lately, and yes we went through 3 gallons of milk last week... haha when both spouses LOVE milk, it's ridiculous thinking how expensive it is! Oh well, Walgreens normally has it for $2.99 on sale (I stock up).

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not at all, praise God!

Have you started to show yet: Yes, and finally strangers are noticing I'm pregnant... but the common reaction when they ask when the baby is due and I say November 6th... "This MUST be your first child, there's no way you're 28 weeks!?"

Looking forward to: Packing and moving over Labor Day weekend!!!Oh yes and NC State Football Season!!!

You Make Beautiful Things: Nursery

Well, as you've heard my rant before about not wanting Brooke to be a "girly-girl" or a "Princess"... I had a REALLY hard time finding a color scheme/design concept for the nursery! All of the "pre-made crib kits" were blah, to cheapy, cartoony and not me. I don't love characters. Yeah yeah yeah I know, if Brooke finds a way to LOVE Hello Kitty or My Little Ponies, I'll be a good sport and suck it up and deal with it. haha I'm kinda crafty so I decided to search on Pinterest and all of the local fabric stores for inspiration... I had a few good ideas, modern, preppy, calm, unique... and here's what I came up with!

Cute hangers with "brooke" and this "<3 br="br">

my actual fabric and supplies

I have a glider and ottoman I am recovering and I have a dresser/changing table I think I'm going to paint the aqua color, with a pink changing table pad, and paint the drawers (parts you see when you pull it out) pink.  Also, I've got all different shapes and sizes of paper lanterns I'm going to put in the corner instead of a mobile!

nursery simplicity

And, I'll probably end up buying these letters... though they are really pricey, but I LOVE THE FONT!

And I may get Charles to put up these "bookshelves"

And probably a banner like this too!

haha okay, there's the plan! Now I need to move into my house and get some sewing motivation! Hope you enjoy a glimpse into Brooke Grayson's future room!
